- Getting help should be comfortable
- You should not have to do it alone
- You should not have to wait
After twenty-five years practicing psychiatry, Dr. Ora Frankel felt the need to help a large group of patients who traditionally “felt through the cracks” and had to weather painful emotional crises without support. These were patients whose crises wouldn’t necessarily send them to the emergency room, but who nonetheless experienced psychological pain and intense emotional discomfort.
For these patients, the prospect of waiting weeks to see a doctor or therapist was daunting. As a result, they would face these crises alone, often bouncing from one crisis to another with the ensuing loss of time and/or self-esteem, and to the detriment of their relationships, careers and overall enjoyment of every day life. At The Couch we strongly believe timely help is critical to our patients well being and recovery.
When you do not seek help, you suffer needlessly.
